Partnership with China
In People’s Republic of China, the University of Alberta has cultivated a large network with local government, research/education institutions and funding agencies. The University is expanding its scope of collaboration at all directions and levels. Project activity focuses on the areas of information and communications technology, teacher education, and governance and public sector management.
The University also maintains a strong tie with its large base of alumni in the Greater China Area.

Activities
One of the China Institute's main goals is to support the U of A's partnership activities with China. During the past few years, the CI has funded partnership programs through its travel and research grants, and also co-organized events that help further expand and strengthen the University's collaboration and partnership with China.
